CHN101 & 102 Elementary Chinese @ Lafayette College

The Lafayette E-portfolio

At Lafayette, I experiment with the e-portfolio (https://lafolio.lafayette.edu/), a digital archive and website builder that students use to document their learning outcomes. Guided by my weekly assignments, students in my elementary and intermediate Chinese classes try out their language skills and explore cultural topics on their own. Seeing their progress traceable on their personal websites gives my students a sense of independence and assurance, while reading about their excitement in using “real” Chinese confirms that teaching with the e-portfolio is a rewarding experience.
