Grammar point: Yes-or-no questions (是非疑问句)
Objective: enable students to use "是/有/可以/会.……吗", "是不是", "有没有", "可(以)不可以"... to ask and answer questions.
Instructions:
1. all sit in a circle;
2. one person, A, thinks of a word, which can be a person or a thing (try not to use abstract concepts) which everybody else is supposed to know;
3. the others begin to ask A questions one by one; they can only ask yes-or-no questions, one at a time, and A can only answer "是/对/有/可以..." or "不是/不对/没有/不可以..."
4. anyone can guess what the word is at anytime, and the round ends when one guesses right.
Example:
A thinks of APPLE 苹果
B: 是人吗?
A: 不是。
C: 可以吃吗?
A: 可以。
D: 美国有吗?
A: 有。
E: 中国人也吃吗?
A: 也吃。
...
X: 是苹果吗?
A: 是。
