This project translates the feminist rhetoric of Wollstonecraft's The Vindication of the Rights of Woman into a Wordpress blog that a modern feminist would use. The blog is formatted so Wollstonecraft is the owner of the blog who writes modern arguments to the men from her time who wrote sexist literature. She also comments on the work of modern feminists and critiques, such as Betty Friedan and Susan Gubar. The primary inspiration for this project, were feminist blogs that are circulating through Tumblr and Wordpress. These types of blogs are how young people are learning about feminist rhetoric and philosophy, so it seemed like a logical and educational idea to translate Wollstonecraft's most famous text into a blog. The goal for this blog is to help people understand what Wollstonecraft was trying to do during her time and for them to form their own opinions on Wollstonecraft's validity as a feminist pioneer.
