William Blake’s “The Chimney Sweeper” captures the essence of the Industrial Revolution from the viewpoint of a child worker. This digital project will use Blake’s poem as inspiration for pictures and music that will all help illustrate the words of this poem. The poem’s words will be brought to life in a still-picture movie with music that relates to the emotions of the child from “The Chimney Sweeper”. The ignorance and lack of care that the child’s parents have in the poem as well as the overall hard labor will be shown. Overall this poem is the basis for the movie that will be created.
