Evaluation of e-portfolio
We've been using the e-portfolio to fulfill our "4th credit hour," trying out our language skills (self-introduction, talking about families, time and age) and exploring Chinese culture (numbers, names, families, zodiacs). Please note that we've done 6 posts and you should have 6 lab credits in your grades unless you didn't reply to the discussion topic by the deadline to notify me. If that's the case, let me know.
Now please write a reflective journal by answering ALL the questions below:
1. What do you think of the e-portfolio so far? What do you like about it? What do you dislike about it?
2. What benefits or drawbacks does the e-portfolio have in terms of facilitating learning? i.e.
Does it help you practice Chinese? Please give me some concrete examples.
Does it help you learn Chinese culture? Please give me some concrete examples.
Does it help enhance your motivation in learning Chinese?
3. We’ll continue with the e-portfolio for the 2nd half of the semester. What suggestions do you have for me to make the weekly assignments more effective and interesting?
Your answer won't affect your grade (I appreciate your true opinion!) but please don't just write a couple of lines. Answer every question and, if possible, say more (whatever you think about the e-portfolio)
I'm going to ask you to do an oral skit in pairs and upload your written skit to the e-portfolio. You’ll also need to videotape your rehearsal or in-class skit performance and upload it. Be prepared for the exciting!
