You've been introduced to Hanzi writing, 太好了!
Now answer in Chinese: how do you ask someone's name?
You did a self-introduction in English last time. This time try a Chinese one. It doesn't have to be long. Just use what we've learned in Dialogue 1 of Lesson one, and introduce yourself in one sentence to your blog reader.
Get ready for recording again. Record your self-intro, followed by the pinyin sentence below. Practice before you record!
Wǒ shì Lāfǎyētè xuéyuàn de xuésheng ,wǒ gānggāng kāishǐ xuéxí Zhōngwén yī líng yī 。Xīwàng wǒde Zhōngwén yuè lái yuè hǎo !You don't have to know the meaning of this sentence (though you're welcome to find out). By the end of this semester, come back and listen to it and you'll know your wish has come true ^_^
Insert the audio file you just recorded. You may even say something like "my instructor coerced me into recording this gibberish".
Talk about (in English) how you feel with learning Chinese so far, what you have learned. After you've done that, enjoy this video about how Chinese greet each other (I guess we can't say 你好 anymore, huh?)
