1. Take a picture/draw a picture of your room @ Lafayette. Describe it in Chinese. Some words you may want to use: 上面/边/头,下面/边/头,里面/边/头,旁边,左边/面,右边/面,床,桌子,椅子yǐzi (chair),沙发shāfā (sofa, couch),书包,书架shūjià (bookshelf),衣柜yīguì (wardrobe).
2. Compare your room at Lafayette (你在Lafayette的房间) with your room back home/in your parents' house (我家里的房间): Which one is larger? Instead of using 比, use "没有" (L13 grammar page 70). E.g. A 没有 B大。
3. Which direction is the door of your room facing? In Chinese culture, 坐北朝南zuò běi cháo nán, seated in the north and facing south, is often considered good and auspicious. Read page 96 of your textbook and answer the questions in the yellow box.
