这个星期,你和你的oral skit partner (语伴) will work together to write an oral skit which, when rehearsed in week 12, should last for 5-7 minutes (5 min for 2, 7 min for 3). The lab assignments from this week on will give you some ideas about how to write the skit.
Now write a blog in which you should include the following points but please don't use bullets. Write a journal instead of a list of answers--remember, this is your personal webpage and your writings are a record of your progress and credentials!~
1. 请介绍一下你的oral skit partner (语伴)。Please include name, major, hobbies, and other interesting things you can think of. Upload the picture with your 语伴.
2. Tell me something about your plan: e.g. 你住在哪里?你的语伴住在哪里?你们会在哪里练习你们的oral skit?为什么?You may include a map (谷歌 or drawn) if you can.
3. You should have set up a shared google docs with your 语伴 and discussed a bit. 你们的skit会用什么theme?Write down what you discussed in Chinese as much as possible.
4. This week we're learning about birthday parties and gifts. Here're a fun and very well made video about gift giving in China and hopefully it'll give you some ideas for your skit. I don't agree with some of the points (e.g. to include price tags, not to give shoes, not to give money in the amount of 400), but most of it makes great sense and it would be super fun to create a scenario about gift giving! Imagine: what will happen if you give your new Chinese friend's parents a clock when you meet them for the first time? :P
